For the purposes of
these Terms & Conditions, the word "owners" applies to the
actual owners or the management company acting on their behalf. The
word "hirer" applies to the person who is the payee and main
contact for transactions and correspondence appertaining to the short term
leasing of the home.
Vacation
Home Rental Bookings - a
booking is only deemed legally binding between the owners and the
hirer once payment of the required deposit has been paid by
the hirer and the owners have cleared the funds and issued
written confirmation to the hirer.
Once the booking has been confirmed, the hirer agree to the rules,
regulations and legislation appertaining to the lease of the
home.
The hirer agrees to hold harmless the owners from any and all
illnesses or injuries to occupants, family members or guests
occurring on or about the premises, or any suits or claims of any
occupant, family member or guest in reference to damaged, lost,
stolen or destroyed personal belongings.
The hirer agrees to hold harmless the owners from any disruption to
their vacation through "acts of god" such as inclimate
weather etc.
The hirer agrees to assess their individual situation and arrange
personal travel insurance before traveling if considered necessary
to protect themselves in the event of any of the aforementioned
possibilities.
Deposits
-At
time of booking, a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to
secure the booking. Until this deposit is received and
cleared, the booking will be classed as "provisional" and
therefore still available. This means that, should
another hirer request the same week(s) and produces their deposit
first, then your booking for that period will become void and other
dates will need to be clarified.
Security
Deposit - After
the booking has been confirmed by the owners, and no
less than 7 days prior to the commencement of the short term lease
date, the hirer
must provide to the owners, a Visa, MasterCard or American Express
deposit of US$300 per stay.
NO charge will
be made to the credit card unless there are damages to the assigned
property.
In the unlikely event damages exceed US$300, the hirer will be
provided with a full breakdown of all damages along with a statement
showing the excess that is being charged. Failure to pay will
result in further action being taken to secure payment.
Payment
Methods -
PayPal, Personal Cheques, Bankers Draft, Wire Transfer or Credit / Debit Card - (note:
a 4% surcharge may be levied for credit cards / paypal payments).
Currency preferred US$ or Sterling, but some other currency payments
may be acceptable.
All currencies other than US$ will be processed at current exchange
rates prevailing at time of payment. Please note that any
charges levied on the owners in connection with the currency
exchange will be charged to the hirer.
Final
Payment is due no less than 21 days prior to commencement of stay.
Special
Payment Terms - Monthly
installments terms are available on request and will be entered into
at the discretion of the owners. If granted, a 5% handling fee
will be added to the total rental cost.
Please note
that credit checks may be carried out on application. Bookings
for Minimum Stay Periods -Bookings
are normally only accepted for a minimum of 5 nights during Low
Season and a minimum of 7 nights during High Season and Holiday
Periods.
Exceptions are at the discretion of the owners and will incur an
additional charge of $125 per stay.
Check-In /
Check Out Times -Check
In 4.00p.m - Check Out 11.00a.m.
Check In can be anytime after 4.00p.m. but will still be charged as
if occupation was from 4.00p.m.
Late Check Out may be able to be extended past 11.00a.m. subject to
prior notification to the owners and availability. This will
be charged for at the rate of $75 per hour from the time of
11.00a.m. until the hour of 4.00p.m.
If Check Out needs to be extended after 4.00p.m. subject to prior
notification to the owners and availability, a full night will be
charged for.
If late Check Out is NOT Authorized and agreed by owners, a full
night will be charged regardless of the number of hours Check Out is
delayed by.
Key Pick Up
Times -
Keys may be
picked up 24 hours a day. A mailbox is used after hours.
Cancellation
Policy -
Verbal or
telephoned cancellations will not
be accepted. Cancellations
will only be accepted in
writing and
must be made AT
LEAST 28 days
prior to the arrival date.
Written cancellations MUST
contain a valid
signature (i.e. not a digital signature).
If cancellations are made 28
days or more from
the arrival date, a full refund less administration and bank/credit charges
(notified at time of cancellation) will be made.
If cancellations are made LESS
than 28 days
from the arrival date, no refunds will apply.
